Plasma dance theater was amazing-- really high-quality music and lots of audience participation. Also be sure to have a look at "Limbic Pentameter." It's really lovely and deserves a little of your time.

If you like sketch comedy (or hate doing nothing) check out "BAD HAIR's Fringetatsic Sketchtacular" starting Wednesday, September 15 at 9PM at Gallery Siano (309 Arch Street).

"It's Not Even Past" at the Walnut Street Theatre Studio 5 (825 Walnut) was really, really good. I think shows are at 8pm, but check the guide. Funny and moving and lots of Philly references!

Try 'City of Champions'. Billed as the MOST offensive show at the festival. It's quite a romp through the trials and odd tribulations of Philly sports fans. Not for those immersed in Political Correctness.

For a worthwhile dance production: I saw "Illuminescence" this past Wednesday night at International House on Penn's campus. While I missed the intro show, the performance by Music & Motion was quite good. An enjoyable mix of dance styles/choreography/music, and the level of talent for what was billed as a group of "pre-professional dancers ages 14-20" was pretty impressive.

I believe they have one more show on Tuesday night, the 14th, 8pm...
