What did you think? Have you seen "Lost Soles" or "Earth's Sharp Edge" or that rendition of "The Tempest" in a bathtub? How would you compare the shows?

Re: Anyone else see "El Conquistador"?
Thu, September 9, 2004 - 8:42 AMI saw it the other night, it seemed a little less polished than the performance I saw of "Earth's Sharp Edge" but had many of the same aspects I appreciated. I really enjoyed his characters, also use of space and scenery as well as being multi-media. He has an amazing way of weaving together video and performance. It was an interesting contrast to "Fathom" by Sabooge which I had seen the night before. Both used a small number of props for a variety of purposes, very creative use of props and space. However, Sabooge made a deliberate effort set their performance as an act of theater and used staging and action that set it apart from film, Thaddeus Phillips exploited the ways he could combine film and theater.
